People’s working methods are often the result of processes that were implemented some time ago, with the best intentions, and which have stood the test of time. The reasons for them being introduced in the first place, however, may be long forgotten or become irrelevant.
Examining tools on the basis of needs and user experiences
Tools are also introduced over the years, again with good intentions, to fulfil needs and automate specific activities. The result is often a mismatched collection of tools which are ‘glued’ together, or one tool that simply does not cover all the various needs.
